How to Play

HOW TO PLAY

Out of Pocket is a social card game built for the trips that matter — golf trips, bachelor parties, and bachelorette weekends. There's no board, no turns, and no sitting down. Cards are dealt at the start of the trip and carried in your pocket. The game runs in the background of your day and surfaces when someone decides it's time.

THE BASICS

Cards are dealt at the start of the trip. You carry them. You play them whenever you want — on the course, at the bar, at dinner, anywhere. There's no turn order. The game is always on.

Best with 4–12 players. Deal 3-4 cards per person for a day trip, 6+ for a full weekend. Shuffle and deal randomly, always carry your hand.

If someone plays a card on you and you refuse, you surrender one card from your hand to the player who played it.

THERE'S NO WINNING

Out of Pocket isn't a game you win. There's no score, no finish line, and no loser. It's designed to create moments — the kind that come up every time the group gets back together. The player who plays their cards best might end the trip with the fewest left in hand. The player who holds them all might never get got. Neither of them wins. Both of them have a story.

CARD TYPES

STRIKE The core of the game. Strike cards target a specific player and create a consequence, a challenge, or a moment. Most of what happens on your trip starts here.

WILDFIRE Group cards. When a Wildfire is played, everyone is involved — whether they like it or not. These are the cards that turn a normal moment into a story.

DEFENSE Protect yourself or flip the table. Defense cards can cancel a card played on you, redirect it to someone else, or let you raid another player's hand. Hold them wisely.

OUT OF POCKET Nuclear tier. There are only two in every deck. When one hits, everyone knows it. These cards cannot be blocked or transferred — there's no defense against them.

THE DECKS

Out of Pocket: Golf is built for golf trips — one round or five days. Cards live on the course, at the turn, at dinner, and at the bar.

Out of Pocket: Bachelor Party is built around the Groom. He starts with a protected hand. The group's job is to make his last night of freedom unforgettable.

Out of Pocket: Bachelorette Party is built around the Bride. Same format, different energy — designed specifically for the people who know her best.
